DESCRIPTION OF THE BUILDINGThis church, has a floor plan in the form of a cross inscribed in a rectangle with a dome resting on four pillars, the altar space is in the form of a tricolon with a central dome, narthex, exonarthex, north and south chapels, south open porch and bell tower. The construction consists of vertical steel poles and horizontal beams. This avoids the use of concrete and reinforced concrete in the temple's construction system, which would adversely affect the remains of the original frescoes found on the interior walls of the church. The walls are traditionally built with semiprecious stone slabs, bricks and hot lime mortar. As a border between the original and the restored there is a lead strip on both the inner and outer sides of the walls. The semi-cylindrical and crescent vaults, calottes and domes are made of bricks and heated lime mortar over a pre-set plank molding. The window openings (monophores and biphores) are glazed with handmade decorative window grate with circular and triangular glass. St. Clement's relics are laid in a marble sarcophagus, beneath which, through a glass surface, the original structure of the tomb is visible. Glass floors are used for exhibiting the remains of the first stages of construction of the church. The iconostasis is made of marble, and all the decorations are made on the basis of analysis and comparisons with the iconostasis of other objects from the same period.
